Rehab
March 8th, 2008
You know that really strange looking English girl who sings that song about “Rehab”, that’s a brilliant tune and she has a great voice but have you heard Seether’s version of it? They did it for some website or something but man, it is such a good version. I’m not a fan of that sort of English music but you could hear that Winehouse had a brilliant voice and the way she sang “No, No, No” was always really funny and I ended up really liking the song.
Well, I probably don’t need to say how excited I was when I heard that Seether had covered it and Shaun Morgan did a brilliant job in doing a great version of it and I probably like their version even better than Amy’s original. Sorry Amy, I know you’ve had a rough time lately but when one of your favourite bands does a brilliant cover then you cant but help take their side. Who’d like to see Amy do a cover of a Seether track?
I think she’d do a good version of “Broken”, you know the acoustic one from “One Cold Night” but it wouldn’t be as good as the original though. Amy’s good but Seether is great!
Broken
March 8th, 2008
I first got into Seether because I had a major crush on Amy Lee from Evanescence and I used to love everything that she did and when I heard that she did the song “Broken” with Seether, well that was me hooked on a new band as well. Okay, theres been a fall out since then but its kinda funny because I’m now a massive fan of Seether and I don’t really listen to Evanescence any more. Still, I suppose that’s all part of growing up and anyway, Seether have so many better songs that it is not a hard choice to like one over the other.
My favourite Seether song is definitely “Truth” from the “Karma & Effect” album because it starts off really beautiful and the verse is something that all your family would like but when it gets to the chorus it powers up and gets really angry.
I don’t always like angry music but at least when Seether do it you can still make out the words as opposed to some bands who just seem to shout and scream for no real reason. You also know that this song would be amazing to see the band play live so hopefully I can get to see them at some point soon and I can hear how good it is.
Rise Above This
March 8th, 2008
Have you heard “Rise above this” by Seether yet? Its an excellent rock song that manages to be really poppy and have a lot of sing-a-long sections but also has a big throaty shouty section that you cant help join in with.
And as for the guitar solo near the end, it is brilliant, it’s slow paced but its really tuneful and it picks up a high pitch before the vocals come back in. If you haven’t heard this song yet, you really need to go and grab a hold of it or sit in front of the video channels until it comes on because it’s such a good song. I’ve always been a big fan of Seether for a few years but I really think that this is their best song yet and I hope that everyone agrees.
I can’t wait until they come back to New York in May because that song is going to sound so good when it is played live and I’m so stoked to see them again. If you haven’t seen Seether live yet, then whets stopping you? They’ve got a big tour on now so get yourself a ticket and go and see the boys have a rocking night out.
Seether Line Up
March 8th, 2008
One of the things I really love about Seether is that even though they have been through some line-up changes and the people in the band have changed about, they still make kick-ass music, no matter who is involved in the process.
I know a lot of this is down to Shaun Morgan and his great songs and Dale Stewart has been around for a good few years on the bass but theres been a good few changes in the other people in the band but they still keep going on and I think they’re as good now as they ever have been at any point in their career.
You’ve also got to say that Shaun has battled through so many problems that its great to see the band still fighting their corner and I only hope that he is safe now and well on the road to recovery.
Then again, they say that great rock songs come from pain and anger so perhaps its better as a fan to have him in some discomfort but I really think that even if Shaun was really happy in his life, he’d be able to still write some excellent songs so as long as he is okay, he can do what he wants!
Seether On WWE
March 8th, 2008
You know when I first got into the music of Seether, it was when I kept hearing their music cropping up on the WWE shows all the time. I was running around asking my friends if they had heard of the band but no one seemed to know until one day some kid at school told me it was a band called Seether and ever since then I’ve been a huge fan! They really rock and their music goes so well with the Word Wrestling shows, there’s just so much excitement that it’s a perfect match
I was really hooked on it by the time that “Remedy” was used on the 2005 Summerslam and although I’m not really into wrestling as much these days, I’m still a huge fan of Seether and I can’t wait until I finally get to see them in concert as you know it’s going to rock so much!
I hope everyone else likes Seether as much as I do but in a way I don’t really care because even if it was just me who liked them, I would still think that Seether are excellent and wouldn’t worry about what anyone ever said about them.
